Does anyone have any experience good or bad with these tires? The tire size, is 255/60R18 and it will be going on a Ford Edge

Evoluxx Capricorn 4X4 HP All-Season Truck/SUV Performance Radial XL

Milestar MS932 Sport All Season

Prinx HiSeason 4S HS1.

The Evoluxx and the Prinx claim to be 70K tires, Evoluxx is also a two-ply side wall, that may have a decent ride..
Milestar that's been around a long time, they were around when I worked at a tire shop, and that was a long time ago!!

I put a set of Milestar MS932s on my Focus and they were so-so....they handled decently but didn't last nearly as long as rated (IIRC they were wearing down by 20k with rotations). One of the four must have had a belt slip as it wore badly on the inside despite an alignment showing all was good. I wouldn't buy them again.

In general tires are in the "you get what you pay for" category. Off brand tires usually have mediocre performance. But I see you aren't in a snowy state so it may not be as big of an issue.

I have Uniroyal Tiger paw A/S on there at the moment, they've been on for about 5 years, 20,000 MI, tread is excellent, rides well, handles well, but it's dry rotted to hell l.. (typical Michelin)

The Milestar MS932 is a solid choice...one BTW I would pick over the Douglas.

I'm not trying to imply tires are trash if you don't go top tier. I more mean it's worth the extra money a lot of the time. But different vehicles, uses, environments and financial situations dictate choices. Best of luck.

Did personal economics (absence of $) drive this selection? No mocking, just asking.
I could wait, I'm just trying to avoid, having any issues on the side of the road.. I am not the best of health, to be replacing tires.. or the patience for roadside assistance, LMAO 🤣 🤣 I could probably wait a little bit and get some Continentals or BF Goodrich

That would be a safe assumption...wouldn't it?

I didn't do the standard reply on this forum-"For just a few dollars more you could get Michelins". LOL!

I completely understand, you get what you pay for!! And I typically use only OEM for the engine parts and all, I have never cheaped out there..

Sounds like these tires will age out before wear out? Do you avoid driving in the rain, by any chance? If so, I might be tempted to go for the cheapest one, as long as it doesn't have complaints about not balancing or other issue. I am a fan of buying the "better" (not "best") tires but this seems like a case where it is not needed.

Sorry I can't be of more help, none of these are brands that I normally shop.

I recommend not getting non name brand tires, also do not get store exclusive tires even if name brand.

Why? if you end up getting a flat that is non repairable and that tire is not readily available or no longer produced you are SOL. For example my truck has Goodyear Viva 3's, 1 tire is bad all the other 3 are perfectly fine only about 8,000 miles on them but Walmart discontinued the Viva 3 so I am SOL and need to buy all 4 new tires because mix-matching tires in the long term impacts fuel mileage and strains the drivetrain especially in AWD/4WD applications.

As a result I am getting Toyo Extensa II which are readily available and not discontinued nor are they exclusive to any store.

You might think well I can save a lot going with these cheap brands, but in the end you might end up paying more.

What about the General Altimax RT43 tires...everybody's darling? Lots of 18" sizes
Obsolete now--have to use RT45's. Just got my first set of them, will know in a couple of years how good they are.

I had a set of the Milestar MS932 on my Infiniti sedan. I liked the ride and handling, but they were V rated and were pretty worn after 20K miles so I replaced them. It is noted that the M35 has always been hard on tires, being they are V rated.
