How old is that tire ?
A few details would be very helpful. Size, load range, vehicle type.

I bet the tire was once left to go flat and possibly overfilled to "make up for it".
That's what that piece of equipment calls for.
That's pretty much what it is.
I don't know and I'm not going around the other 11 that are exactly like it to get a close look.
I wouldn't want to be the person putting 90 psi into an old tire like that.

Why not? You could learn something.
For example, your blow-apart tire might be the oldest one of the 12 or 1 of the oldest 4, etc.
The other 11 tires might be younger by a wide margin and your blow-apart special was just a single leftover which was included to save money, etc.
Do you want as many as 11 more surprises?
Plus, since you'll be replacing that tire, don't you think it's smart to assess if you should replace more of them....since you're going to the tire store anyway?
When things calm down and cool off, let 5-10 psi out of the others. While you're at it, get the data off a tire and post it please.

Ah ha somebody put a 35psi max tire on there. The tire was made in 2018, likely put on soon after.
They're all made in china these days....
I have never had an issue finding made in USA tires.
I've never run a tire made in China on any vehicle I have owned. I just bought a set of Discount Tire All Terrains, made here in the US.
There's no reason to run Chinese Tires.
