Tire recommendations for 2010 Honda Odyssey

I really like continental tires… have a set right now, but they wouldn’t be my first choice for an odyssey as they tend to be a little softer in the sidewalls. The ody is a stout, heavy minivan asking a lot out of a conservatively sized tire.
I might lean closer to the Bridgestone offerings, actually. They tend to be sturdy and relatively long-lived. My disappointment with Bridgestone is diminishing wet grip as they age, but in a heavy odyssey that may not be as much of an issue. They may outlast the defenders, maybe. If the CC2 is available I’ll throw in a vote there, excellent tires had 2 sets.

Michelin Defenders wear like iron. It is interesting that nobody is advocating Land Spider or Sailun tires. Wonder why. Seriously, the issue with a fourteen year old Ody is that you are not certain to make it through the set of tires. This is significant as there are serviceable tires at half the price of Michelin suggestions.
Leaning toward the Michelin Defender 2's as I can get a pretty good deal on those. I've seen mixed reviews on their wet traction. Any thoughts/reviews on this tire in the New England area? Tire rep says it's a top of the line tire, and should handle well in all conditions except for heavy snow/ice.

I've never had them, but they look like they wouldn't be very good for winter conditions because the ribs are so solid with so little tread void.
I’ve bought several used cars with well-worn Michelin tires. In the condition I had them, wet traction was not their strong suit, or noise. Otoh, few effectively retain wet grip when older. Continental seems to have some of the best rubber chemistry for it.
I had a set of Bridgestones a few years back that maintained an excellent wet grip, but it’s not made any longer, and tires such as the LE2 lost grip as they aged. The LE3 may be far better as that was the primary change.

I have Conti TrueContact tours on my Odyssey and they are very good, rain or shine. I can't speak to snow performance because we rarely get that around here.
As mentioned, the sidewalls are a little softer than others so if cornering performance is needed then this may not be the best choice. However I like the softer ride...
I have 25k on them now and they still have 8/32 remaining (down from11/32) so I suspect they will get close to the 80k rating. IMO that is pretty impressive for an Odyssey! All previous tires were spent at 45k or less.
