Timing belt and water pump

Its not Killer, like pulling a vg30e head(I dont like ohc's) but its a far bit of work on these trucks. Another word of advice, dont over tighten the timing belt, the ends of the cams will break off( I havent had it happen but I've heard horror storys)

Count the grooves in the belt before you take the belt off too, that way if a cam slips you can tell before starting it up.

Just turn the engine by hand when you re assemble the belt (with the plugs out) and check to see if if spins freely. it it does your pistons arent contacting anything.

I really appreciate the encouragement and tips, guys. Although i haven't ordered the parts that i think are required yet, i will do so soon. I am waiting for some tools to arrive that will enable me to have a look inside and order whatever is required at once.

I've done my Civics a couple of times. While researching it what stopped alot of DYI'ers, was just trying to get the crank pulley bolt out.

It either takes a special tool that is suppose to stop the engine from turning, while you TRY to remove the bold with a long breaker bar. Sounded like a pain to me.

Or a good impact gun with alot of PSI to it. This is how I did mine, but it took awhile.

Not sure this could be an issue for your vehicle.
