Time for new wheels, your $0.02 requested

My OEM wheels are getting really beat up so I think I'm going to relegate them to becoming my winter wheels. When next spring rolls around, I'll need some wheels to put back on my summer tires.

Trying to keep it OEM-like and simple, too many overly complicated and garish wheels out there. Plus, I don't have the budget for a $2000 set of BBS forged wheels or whatever. Not worried about going super light-weight or whatever.

One option is always to buy a second set of the original wheels for the summer. They are pretty nice looking and very understated.

All of those are terrible IMO. Do not take it as an attack, please. They pull the blanket of attention to themselves, they are too eye-catching. The car is elegant and this elegance is very laconic. Natural compliment to red is well done on the B-pillars. And you do not need to spend too much money for a decent set. You can play with online interactive tools at tirerack, discount tires direct or one of many others that transpose the rims on a given body and see how it looks. Something like Konig Runaway or something like this and it will not cost you an arm and leg. Konigs were quite becoming, but I could not snap it - they were more tactfully complimenting the body.

I cant stand aftermarket wheels, to me OE styles look much better.

The S wheels look a bit better IMO than the RS onces, though the simplicity of the RS ones is kind of nice too.

Honestly, Id just get another set of the same ones you have, and be more careful next time. No reason why wheels have to get messed up.

RS6. You're white collar. Check Discount Tire for wheels and tires mounted deals. Put several coats of wax on the new wheels,before you mount them. Less stuff adheres and it's easier to clean off. Personally,I would carefully clean,wax,and continue to run,my old wheels. No new wheels for me.

I like these. I think the black would look really good in contrast with the red. See if you can click "view on vehicle", and change the color to red.... Really nice looking, imo. Not exactly stock looking, but they are nice, and not too "complicated".

I too was most drawn to the S6 wheels (middle) but the RS6 is also an OEM wheel for the A4/S4. It's simple and chunky -- the car needs chunky spokes.

Previous owner of my car curbed the stock wheels a bit and my brakes are super-aggressive (Ferodo DS2500). The neighborhood is my parents' so that's one of the few places I can really wash them, unfortunately. I admit I should probably use some Collinite wax to seal them a bit.

Where can you get the OEM wheels as inexpensively as decent aftermarket wheels (like the ASAs Nick suggested)??

The OEMs are usually (especially for a Euro import) substantially more coin than all but the lightest and most exotic aftermarket wheels.

The B6 A4 uses a 57.1mm hub bore diameter. the later Audi switched to a 66.56mm hub bore diameter, so centering rings will be needed.

VMR, Hartmann, etc have been quite good to the Audi community.

P. S. I assumed the stock wheels from Audi would be waaaay too expensive. I prefer the stock,if they are not too expensive.......But think it better to keep your wheels and clean 'em up. New wheels will look the same,as the oems now look, in a few years,and you will just be out the $. Hope this helps.
