The 360 degree variability of the Russian design has long fascinated me. The "what I don't knows" is probably a very long list including complexity vs. reliability, sensor/software/processing power to take advantage of it, response time of actuators, etc. etc. I salute them for the effort but would bet our system is a better overall answer. These systems have been tested at Wright-Patt and elsewhere for a good long while, we'd know by now if we were at some huge disadvantage. As for dogfightng this poor layman still wonders why, what with helmet cueing, RHAW and all, we still don't see anything about over the shoulder shots. Now that would really ruin Ivan's day just when he's certain he has the drop on you!
