Replacing the HDD in my 2008 MBP to a Samsung 830. Pulling it apart, every single screw has blue thread locker.

Do I need to replace/add more blue locker, or is putting them back in as-is ok?

Thanks!

It's not necessary to replace the threadlocker on laptop screws, and I advise against it. It can make it difficult for the next time it needs to be opened.

Only use it on screws that have a history of working themselves loose. A friend's laptop had screws on the hinges that would work themselves loose even with the blue 242. Finally red 271 did the job.

I use to repair industrial portable computers. For normal use, I wouldn't do it. If you get loctite on to the plastic that the thread boss is anchored in to, it will eat the plastic. This will cause to to crack around the boss, then everything pulls out. I would bet Dell gets these screws with a gummy threadlocker already applied.
