The old Advance Auto corporate headquarters sign in Roanoke Virginia before they moved the headquarters out of here. Building and sign still standing. As far as I know they still own and use the building just not headquarters anymore.

Park Ave West known as "Miracle Mile" in Mansfield, OH. Saturday night street racing has been going on here since the 1960's supposedly. The city council decided to put 4 speed bumps on the Avenue. Younger generations are upset claiming that the boomers got to have their fun, are old and now on the city council and voted to add speed bumps.

Idiotic elected or annointed officials.

Get out there with a propane torch and a shovel, and dispatch of it, lol. Or, the snowplows will do it for you this coming Winter.

Like going after those pesky traffic cams from the nearby hillside with a .22LR

Citizens revolt!

Blip on Sunday mornings. Interesting to see how long before the city stops it.. you can probably guess why. Cool bikes though, I probably had the slowest with ole Red. Guy with the side car was giving rides to kids.

In my experience* .22LR is only mildly effective at best against electronics. M855 will make them explode.

*I shot a ps3 that had a yellow light of death even after repair with both a .22 and 5.56

Can anybody identify the make of this bus? It's a double-decker. I could only get a shot from pretty far, This is a pretty extreme crop.

You want to drag race on public streets so destroying public property is OK.....

May I paraphrase my late Dad?
Regarding installing speed bumps on a road....."Maybe they learned the hard way?", he might say.

Was daydreaming and staring into the trees yesterday and spotted this years hornet nest. I see at least one a year and at times have had three. Great mosquito eaters they are. This is outside the back door.

I am sick of our freedoms being constantly eroded.

Putting a speed bump on a multi-lane main commercial thoroughfare is the act of idiots.

Maybe you should read this book -

"America has always been a nation of laws. But today our laws have grown so vast and reach so deeply into our lives that it's worth asking: In our reverence for law, have we gone too far?

Over just the last few decades, laws in this nation have exploded in number; they are increasingly complex; and the punishments they carry are increasingly severe. Some of these laws come from our elected representatives, but many now come from agency officials largely insulated from democratic accountability.?

In Over Ruled, Neil Gorsuch and Janie Nitze explore these developments and the human toll so much law can carry for ordinary Americans. At its heart, this is a book of stories--about fishermen in Florida, families in Montana, monks in Louisiana, a young Internet entrepreneur in Massachusetts, and many others who have found themselves trapped unex-pectedly in a legal maze.

Some law is essential to our lives and our freedoms. But too much law can place those very same freedoms at risk and even undermine respect for law itself. And often those who feel the cost most acutely are those without wealth, power, and status.

Deeply researched and superbly written, Over Ruled is one of the most significant books of the year. It is a must-read for every citizen concerned about the erosion of our constitutional system, and its insights will be key to the preservation of our liberties for generations to come."
