Sitting in the A-terminal at Bush airport in Houston late Friday afternoon waiting for my connection to CVG, when the ground, walls, and windows all started rumbling. I, and a few of the people sitting around me, all looked up and at each other, and turned toward the window to see what was causing the ruckus, because this was a way louder than you normally hear in a terminal. I half expected to see a fighter in full afterburner roaring past but figured it had to be a 747 or A380, but got a pleasant surprise to look up and see an Antonov. We had one that would deliver engines to KILN when I worked there in the 90's, and I had forgotten how loud these beasts are. And it took its own sweet time getting airborne, I could walk faster than it was rolling down the runway. It eventually took off and disappeared into the clouds. According to Flightaware he was headed to Canada.... Montreal, I think? Dont remember, I'm a bit fuzzy right now. Started feeling weird when the wife picked me up after I landed late Friday night, and even worse Saturday. On Sunday I was rooting through the medicine cabinet looking for ibuprofen and any cold medicine I could find because I felt like death, and found a home covid test kit. It expires in a few months, and I figure why not, no sense in letting it go to waste. Big fat positive. Well..... that explains things. Now the daughter, wife, and son in law have all tested positive as well. Thank you, you're welcome, and good night.
Oh, and the dirt is on the windows, not my phone's camera lense.
