Did a 300 mile oil change after the new oil pump and timing chain. Not what I expected but flushed it out with a qt of trans followed by a qt of oil. Need to see inside the filter.Tempted to pull the pan again.

Finally got the tips free of most the carbon. Will work later to get the inside later. Misted a bit of water on the bay under the bonnet and just wiped it down with a couple of rags. Let the warm air and sun dry it the rest of the way.
