This is supposed to be a thread about photographs. You're not posting photographs, rather they are screenshots of memes and cartoons and other people's work. Some of what you post may even infringe on the copyrighted work of others. And you're posting 3, 4, 5 images a day that are not yours. Maybe they should be in the humor section, but I feel that many, if not most, of your postings don't belong in this section.

Today, your posts just pushed me over the edge to actually feeling anger. Why don't you just post your own work?

I wouldn't put too much weight behind what this thread was "supposed to be" beyond kept inside the site rules. The OP was banned, just like his 40 previous identities, for not being able to remain compliant with those same rules.

My apologies for getting you upset, but all these pics are off various websites I visit, I've posted quite a few pics that were mine, a lot of the pics are funny and I like to share them with the everybody, from now on I'll limit my pics to one a day.

I want you to know that the photo with the caption “when my mother and I went running together” made me laugh out loud and I needed that laugh. Thank you!

An image of some impressive bricklaying. I couldn't believe was I was seeing. This was the Shell station on 1st and Vineyard in Pleasanton yesterday. I couldn't get the top portion of the bricks as I was on the move and aiming thru the corner or the windshield.

The brick work was over-rated. It must be the local scarcity of skilled labor or raw brick supply?

To clarify, the thread does not say it has to be photos that the poster took. It just says "Thread for photos" ... not "Thread for photos you took". But I agree, the memes don't really belong here. But every time a dedicated "meme thread" gets started, someone will post a meme that breaks the board rules, then it gets locked or deleted.

A lot of memes contain photos (and, as @dishdude notes, ARE picture files, technically) however But yes, dedicated meme threads have a history of always going south because people just can't control themselves. Personally, seeing the odd one in here doesn't bother me in the least, I often laugh, and have shared a few myself that I thought were amusing but compliant with the board rules.

I contend a meme can be photo based - but a drawn cartoon is not a photo. Not that some aren’t amusing but scruffy and cool random photographs are more entertaining
