Interesting Jimmy I know where that is lol. I miss the Roanoke Auto Auction now it’s just sales no auction except to dealers. Beautiful car. If I had 13 grand I’d buy it. I’d look cool rolling up to work in that. Is this automatic or manual I wonder? I prefer manual for a classic but would take automatic. We need another car now that one of the Camrys appears to be done for.
Yeah you could ride around cruising young chicks and get shot down all over Virginia... 😂

All of that was noted in the description follow up post.

I call them all Impala's for brevity. As a kid that's all my parents bought were Impala's..
You're absolutely right, I missed your follow-up. Sorry, I hate doing that (correcting something that's already been clarified).

In any case, beautiful car! The inline-6 and 3-speed bring back memories of my first ride, a '63 Biscayne wagon.

I screwed up actually...lol
This was supposed to be a reply to @Shel_B
I need to quit labeling them all as Impala's

Not to mention the Bel Air and the later Caprice ... 😉

And I don't think they overlapped, but earlier there was the Delray and the 210 too.
We had all of them starting with a 58 Bel Air that everyone loved...

A kind friend had an old '61 or '62 Bel Air and introduced me to driving a MT when I had my learner's licence.

A few months later I got my licence, and Dad let use the old '63 Biscayne (6-cylinder, 3-speed MT) he had been unable to trade in a couple of years before.

A few years later I bought a battered '71 Biscayne (250 inline-6 w/ Powerglide), and later a '68 Impala (307 Powerglide until I swapped in a 327 TH).

So excluding the oldies, I'm missing only the Caprice.

My Grandfather use to take care of the city parks. I would go along with him and his mean dog. He had an old mid 50s BelAir with a three on the tree. It was the first car I ever drove.

“Don’t worry, Liam. You’ll be able to drive for Swift, in the USA. Prolly work your way up to trainer in 12 weeks!”

I thought of this in the 80’s. I had no car. Needed to get some money only had a check. I walked up to the drive thru window and teller said you can’t just walk up. You need a car.

There was a guy in a pickup who let me sit in his bed as he drove through….still wouldn’t transact with me but it was worth a try lol🙂
A few years ago it was midnight and I was going through McDonald's drive thru and a young lady comes up to my window and asks me to get her a food order because they won't let her order via walking to the drive thru.

I told her just get in my car and I will get her an order. She did .
She hit a deer down the road and her car wasn't drivable and she was waiting for a friend to pick her up.

I drove her to a medical building to wait on her friend and just like a woman she started telling me that she was college educated and on and on like I was suspicious. lol

I told her I'm sure you are...
She knew I was a high roller when I picked her up in my Mitsubishi Sport... 😆 On to the next.
