Most normal Hyundai in NYC, exactly one reverse lamp working, no brake lights functional
Hyundai/KIA leads the nation in theft, and in burnt out bulbs
Why they have an unhealthy appetite for the 2357 is beyond me 🤷‍♂️

Hummer misappropriation in traffic makes me want to puke 😤
The high rise exhaust stacks make it even more insufferable
Notice the artfully mangled plate as to avoid camera enforcement or tolls
They'll catch up to him...

The Swanton Road is a very nice driving road that runs roughly parallel to Highway 1 for a while between Greyhound Rock and Scott Creek County Beach in Santa Cruz County. A couple years ago wildfires ravaged the area.

After having passed through the hamlet of Davenport on Highway 1 we turn right at Scott Creek County Beach onto Swanton Road. I'm driving on the left side not because I think I'm back in England but because I'm dodging craters.

After a few miles, we see woods and get into more hilly terrain.

There are wild turkeys everywhere.

After another few miles we reach an area that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. There are some poppies visible in the right bottom corner of the image.

We turn around before we reach Highway 1 and go back on Swanton Road. Some kind of eagle or vulture or something is hoping for a meal.

We pass a small rockslide.

"Halt! Who dares enter Fangorn Forest?"

After several miles, we reach Highway 1 and turn right and head back to San Francisco. We stop at Pomponio Beach.

Back on Highway 1 and approaching Devils Slide. That ruin perched on the bluff to the left is the "Devils Slide Bunker" - actually a fire control station that was built for observation and triangulation by the Army during WW2.

At the Tom Lantos Tunnels that bypass Devils Slide I kick you out and you are on your own.

Seeing the same Hyundai as mine in front of that AW11 puts a different perspective on how tiny it really is... I somehow fit in Lotus Elise and MR2 Spyder, drove both a good distance (>100 miles). But really doubt I can fit in AW11. (I'm 6'1" and 325lbs.)

inflation calculator : 100€ 10y ago
today 140€...
indeed if you look at the international exchange, that takes into account both currencies; however, domestically, when one pays for products and services, here at home, then it is whole another matter :D

hidden tax eats it all out slowly but surely
