*****.

- Chilly here this morning. Not gonna lie - I like it. Proper temp for the occasion, just missing the snow. Much better than 70F-80F on Christmas a couple years ago.
- Pretty upset that my ScanGauge isn't picking up the RPMs or MPG stats from the Hyundai ECU. Hopefully I can play with the Xgauge stuff and find an alternative reading.
- Surprising difference between ambient temp and intake air temp. This was right after a 15 mile drive. I'd expect a much closer range. Just sitting on the parking lot intake air temps got up to 105F. While driving @60MPH intake air temps stay 20 degrees above ambient.
- Fram Euro 0W-40 in the crankcase doing ok. Took a second of cold start noise, before it built up the oil pressure. Literally a second though, so quite normal IMO. Level dropped a little, roughly .5qt in 1500 miles. Stayed pretty steady when it was warmer, but started dropping once below-freezing-temp cold starts started happening.

Wrapped all of the gifts I got for people up last night with the help of mom cause if I did all of them on my own there wouldn’t be any paper left and it would be sloppy lol. She even helped wrap hers cause I had it in a box so she couldn’t see it anyway. One gift for everyone cause that’s really what I can afford. One for mom, one for dad, one for sister, one for brother in law, one for niece and one each for both nephews.

Awe Blake you shouldn’t have. Keep those away from Dixie before they have bite marks in them🤣

My annual homemade quilt from grandma. Nothing more special than a homemade quilt or homemade anything. I have several from her. A couple baseball ones, tool one, this random one, many others, etc. I asked for a quilt as did many other of my cousins and she made everyone one. Everyone got one not just the kids. She said she isn’t sure how much longer she’d be able to make them which I hate to hear because I absolutely love every homemade quilt she has made for me from when I was a baby till now for birthdays, Christmas, just because etc. And still have all of them and will keep them as long as they don’t disintegrate. She said I know it’s not tool or car or baseball related but I hope you like it I said of course I do. I especially like the Virginia Moonshine one and the car one at the bottom. She got a bunch of shirts at the goodwill for this one. She made one for everyone in about 2 months time. That’s rush for her cause typically she starts working on the Christmas ones in June especially since the family keeps expanding. I told my mom about 3 months ago that I hoped grandma would make us quilts and I was so happy to get this one. My aunt got me a pillow with a red truck on it which I love and it looks great next to my beetle pillow, then a pair of socks and some sleep pants. I’ll be having the quilt on the bed tonight. I really hope grandma can keep up the family tradition for years to come with the quilts. She used to put our names and dates and who it was from on the back but she just ran out of time and materials for that but it’s still ok because I know it’s from her.

You should take photos of your license plates and see if she could incorporate photos of them into quilt or close to it. I think that would be great quilt

It amazes me how gentle and loving they are with each other. My Daughter sends these pictures to me showing the bond that my Grandson has with Whiskey (the yellow lab). Whiskey stays with him wherever he goes and if he doesn’t cuddle up to her, she cuddles up or lays near him, wherever he may be.

A boy and his dog.

Mac and cheese for lunch. They forgot to top my Mac and cheese with bacon but they brought me the bacon on the side. I also got some popovers.

Waiting for the sunset at the beach parking lot.

Gratuitous shot of Miss Moneypenny because the sky was on fire after the sun had already set.

Most valuable linemen are not in the NFL!

The most valuable linemen are not in the NFL. They are the ones that climb up poles and crawl into lift baskets in frigid temperatures to maintain and restore our lifestyles. Thanks to all the fine folks who go to great heights to provide comfort for the rest of us.
