I have to carry him up the back steps after going potty in this weather, his paws start to freeze and he'll sit there in the cold and lick them instead of coming in!
I drive my wife to work in cold weather and pick her up with a warm car. She took the day off so we don't have to go out in this cold, she's upstairs doing her Christmas baking, bless her!

On my other forum The Garage Journal we are doing a secret Santa. I wasn’t able to participate cause money is just too tight here recently and someone had the heart to still send me something anyway. I’m BlakeTheCarGuy there lol. This is what I love about forums including this one too. Is whenever someone mentions something it seems someone is always willing to save the day which is what we have here. It just makes me smile and makes my whole day and week better even though it’s already great. I’m one that I believe if I help others that I will always get help in the future or good karma if you want to say that. I like helping people and making their day better in anyway that I can. This is something that weighs over 8 pounds and is very rattly lol. I want to rip it open so bad but I must do what’s right and wait lol. I also have someone from the same forum who read my story on me helping the guy my sister knows who got screwed over by a shop and he read I helped him and so he is sending me some stuff too as he wanted to reward good deeds around this time of year. It’s some license plates and two dollar bills which is awesome. The contents of this package will remain unknown till December 25th lol. I would of taken this picture with the Christmas tree but it won’t be up until tomorrow this is the latest we have been putting it up but just haven’t had time. I’ve been working overtime training people and just dead tired. But it’s what I like and want to do.
A box full of toroidal pastries?

Alright some more plates came in today. First picture is plates from a member on the GJ. Those were his wife’s plates from her first marriage and her first initial and her then last name. The two dollar bills were also sent with them. So that’s pretty cool. Those will all go great in their respective collections. I love the colors of them. This person wanted to give me something for helping the guy out with the tie rods on his car which some of you may have seen I posted about in the what are you working on thread. This again proves my belief that if you are nice to someone they will be nice to you. Next up a pair of South Dakota plates. Followed by the short lived now discontinued red letter North Carolina license plates. Emergency responders complained of hard visibility when the light would hit them so they done away with those and went back to blue. Occasionally you’ll still see one running around but by now most have been replaced or taken out of service. Next Florida trailer breast cancer license plate. I personally think they are pretty cool. Then a pair of Missouri plates. Followed by a vintage NC 6 digit plate and an older standard base PA plate. Then a Kentucky Military Reserve plate and a standard issue Tennessee plate.

Flying two days earlier than plannedto see grandkids in Denver, past security TSA has blocked in terminal movement. No idea why. No issue for me, I have 30 minutes to get to gate. Others may not have that buffer.

Wow glad your flight wasn’t cancelled

So TSA just stopped people?

God I hate flying
Pablo, TSA put up a srap.and didn't allow movement in either direction. No idea what the issue was. Stap just removed, now people running like crazy to their gates. A different crowd than typical at the airport this morning. Many more young adults, not many crusty old guys like me in the terminal.

Yes, taking an Amtrak last Monday was so much reduced hassle than flying. I am surprised people don't use trains more.but I also understand the trains are not a private business, and things like train delays and such do not have effective options to get people on their destination. I sat next to a woman who said she was stuck in the train for three days between Lincoln and Omaha Nebraska, no options, bathrooms overflowing, etc. So some different types of risk taking the train. My experience was pretty darn good.

19°F there. No ice?

Still 9° F here. HI is in the cards at this point.
Pablo, guess that is what happens to you when you moved to Canada.

It was 21f driving to the airport. The airport parking garage seemed pretty darn cold so we're parts of the airport. Wife just called me and said since I am arriving two days early to Denver, I get to take the grandkids on the Santa train tonight. She told me Denver is expected to be very cold tonight. I didn't pack gloves or a hat.... So time to embrace the cold, because of my lack of planning.

Roads on I5 in the SeaTac area all dry this morning. No moisture or ice.

At my work the boys go all out for Christmas lol. All I had to give was a couple boxes of gingerbread cookies cause they love them and I do too. They brought everyone in the shop some so I wasn’t the only one. Everyone got the same thing one of the drinks I posted on Monday then a Michelob and fireball shot. He said here at Toyota we go all out for Christmas.
