Flying to O'Hare from sgf to connect to Seattle. Great day to capture some pictures from the air. First picture is flyover country, my guess is Streator, Illinois area. Next is a pic of O'Hare airport, lots of runways in a tight space. Next pic is of the Kennedy expressway, 130pm and already backed
up. Next picture Chicago skyline, next lake Michigan, weather must be nice, lots of sailboats at least five miles out from shore. By the way, O'Hare is my secret airport to connect at for flights. Everyone hates O'Hare so much and avoids O'Hare, it has become a very easy airport to connect at.

One of my favorite moments from the Duran Duran concert. At the beginning of “Save a prayer”, people started lighting up their phones. This was the very beginning, but it got a lot brighter in the arena as soon as Simon started singing.
It was a great moment that my 14 year old son was completely taken with. He thought that it was so cool to see a band that he has heard countless times on the radio, has been around forever, and still puts on a hell of a show.

Well I still work for the same company just moving shops. Boss asked (actually begged) me to run the new Toyota Express Lane at our Toyota franchise so that’s what I’m off too do. I’m helping him out, he has been good to me and I respect him so I agreed to help. It’s only temporary I told them I’d never work on Toyota permanently again not after getting used to working on Subaru lol. I’m still a Subaru tech though both literally and at heart lol and they know they won’t take that away from me. And I’m garanteed a move back to Subaru when they open the new building up which will have 26 bays. It was very crowded in the current building with Subaru, Kia and used car and express techs all together. The Toyota expansion costed $3 million I’m not sure how much the Subaru one will but it’s supposed to be built in the next year. I’m first in line to go and that’s what me and the big boss agreed too for helping otherwise I would of gotten stuck training permanently. I don’t mind doing that it’s just my heart is for being a tech full time and I told them that which they don’t like my speed but they didn’t give up on me which I appreciate. And yes I’m running the show at this express lane I’m technically not a tech I just help when needed and manage it. And the big boss let me pick a bunch of people to go over with me to make it better for me because my nerves would of been shot otherwise. So I brought 2 other techs, a service advisor, a parts person and the big boss will be over periodically too and the trainer as well. And then I have the shop manager who manages the full fledged techs so yeah I’ve got everyone I need. Me and my boss had a few talks about this and he picked me because I stand out to him for a few reasons one is definitely not speed lol. But the reasons given were my ability to train and lead and I never let anyone down the times I’ve been the only tech who bothers showing up and also to go with that my attendance I’ve never called out, missed a scheduled day or anything like that. And I’ve bought tons of tools that we needed as a shop so I let people use them though they still are mine.

As far as tech experience I’ve done a bit of everything from small stuff to big stuff which is another reason for the decision. I just had him assure me this position is temporary and I’m guaranteed to get back where I want to be. We chatted today as well cause he knew I was still nervous coming into this and stuff and kinda sad to leave my current shop. But this place is so big everyone knows you are family just you have to get used to them lol. We have 10 franchise brands and techs for all of them plus used car techs and express techs. The techs and advisor and everyone I brought with me will also have the choice to go back when the time comes as well. I’m so thankful to have such a caring company and supportive boss that will work with me. Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow to clean the shop up but oh well the whole Toyota shop is required to work because where the express lane will be is in the older bays but still pretty new and so we have to shift everything around and pressure wash the walls and everything like that.

Sorry for the long winded story haha. And the reason for the tow truck decal being blocked out is just because I’d rather not share where I work no offense to anyone just don’t want to share it. Some people have asked before when I posted pictures so that’s why I’m telling you now lol.

Now’s the time to show them how versatile you are! You’ll do a great job! 👍🍻
