A little too far from Texas but man that looks good.
How does that happen ?
Here are the dam pictures I promised last week. That's Alpine Dam in Marin County. Built in 1918, Alpine Dam is 524 feet long and 143 feet high.

The Golden Gate was foggy today.
We took Sir Francis Drake Blvd to Hwy 1.
We visted Bolinas and then drove back to 1 and on to nearby Stinson Beach.
I tried out my tiny monocular that showed remarkable optical performance for such a diminutive device.
I had a treat.
The gulls found me. Besides several in front of me, there was another dozen behind me.
On the way back I had the slowest ever Ford in front of me. The driver was braking before every turn going uphill. Eventually, he pulled over to let me pass.

Why do I see a monthly example of a Ford or Dodge missing an entire wheelend?
Usually the above only occurs on 4wd vehicles, sometimes it’s an inconvenient timing of a ujoint falling off or just bad/damaged spring/shackle/u-bolts.
Some people are just special and god knows how super operators accomplish what they do.
On an off topic the constantly advertised clearances going on don’t seem to be as good of a deal as you would first think.

A race car that has been at Grand Home Furnishings in Roanoke Virginia since they opened lol. Took the picture Sunday. It appears to be a real race car I’ve always kind of wondered about it. We probably won’t be going to that store much longer as they no longer give out cookies or free glass bottles of Coke it’s not the Grand experience without it.
