Snake week for me. Out riding mountain bike this morning saw this Arizona Black Rattlesnake, pretty rare so neat to see one. He wouldn't move off the trail so I finally got an 8 foot stick and touched him and he decided to yield. Wasn't happy at all.

Western Global MD 11 at LAX this evening. Don't see many MD 11s in the USA outside of FedEx and UPS. And for sport, the e175 I am on just had a maintenance issue moments from takeoff, thrust reverser, so we are taxing back to the terminal.

This is the front of the motorcade yesterday escorting Yavapai County Sheriff's Deputy Richard Lopez, 51, who was shot and killed in the line of duty last week. His public funeral was in the local sports arena. Public safety vehicles representing many agencies from around the state and some from out of state went by for between 5 and 10 minutes. I've never witnessed this and will admit it was emotional and very impressive. The man with the flag stood at attention for the entire procession.
