This particular car, a 2006 Impala, isn't that bad overall, it's still in good shape structurally. Once these components are replaced, the massive oil leak is fixed, and it gets new brakes all the way around, it'll still make a good, cheap car for someone. Well, if they don't turn their nose up at a gold Chevy Impala. (Everyone wants a cheap car, but nobody wants to drive a cheap car.)

Its massive oil leak is from the oil filter housing. It has created a film of oil and grime underneath from the front of the engine to the back of the car. Maybe that helped with the overall rust protection.
