In reality the temptation is strong and the result the opposite.

My Italian dad was the cheapest human being to walk the planet. The urge to spend in me is STRONG. And yeah, now I'm a cheapass. :p:D:cool:

With age money alludes you for some reason...
I bargain hunt the essentials and that gives me a few $$$ for luxuries.

Reminds me of the American pickers episode where they go to this 90 year old guys property that was a hoard of antique mechanical wonders including steam powered tractors.

He didn't want to sell anything as these were projects he was "working on". Mind you, there was no evidence of progress, just hoarding, with plants growing over rusted antique machinery.

It's a mental disorder and if the pickers asked this guy what he had accomplished or the status of his projects, I'm pretty sure his head would have exploded.

I wonder if a few BITOGERs like @Cujet and myself will end up like that 90 year old. And if we end up 90 and a ton of unfinished projects still on the to do list, that will be just fine!

The Boeing 707 performing an ultra-low fly past at the Harare air show in Zimbabwe in 1995 was a daring stunt executed by pilot Darryl Tarr. According to Tarr, the radar altimeter indicated that the aircraft was just 6 feet above the ground at one point during the flypast. This maneuver showcases the impressive precision and skill of the pilot, as well as the capabilities of the Boeing 707. This type of performance surely left a lasting impression on the spectators at the air show.
