This is a interesting picture of whole potatoes being unloaded into a potato chip plant. From what I understand (not verified), the driver of the truck stays in the truck during the unloading process.

Fun picture, but the good ole days maybe weren't all that good. Simple car yes, but I recall lots of carburetor, starter, cooling system (I know air cooled VW), and other issues with cars in the 1970s.

You're welcome. If you keep an actual list and don't have them on it you might want to add Mike Linnig's in Louisville, Minard's Spaghetti Inn in Clarksburg WV and The Original Mexican Cafe in Galveston. The newest is around 90 years old and all have interesting history worth looking up, IMO. YMMV

Midway between Fort Scott and Pittsburgh KS. a couple miles down a country road are Chicken Annie's and Chicken Mary's, two definitely different and both delicious interpretations of fried chicken. I think they may be family or former partners that had a falling out and thence two restaurants within stone throwing distance. Not sure there's many places anywhere to get better dinners.
