FMC made a decision a few decades ago to style their sedans after German manufacturers. Ford later dropped that plan.

Below are two examples of FMC trying to style their sedans after German manufacturers. Of note, the Lexus LS series also copied German sedans for their styles.
And they didn't shut up about it either
Remember the Granada ESS?

Couldn't find a parking space anywhere near the door. Shoulda brought a horse and buggy

My birthday quilt that grandma dropped off today. She said sorry for the delay. She was waiting on the material to come in. This is wrenches 🔧 , nuts and bolts 🔩. Homemade quilts are the best. Better than money or anything like that because it’s a memory you will always have. She also dropped off one for my mom who has a birthday on Friday mom got a lighthouse on hers as she loves lighthouses. I love a homemade quilt. I am thankful to have a grandma who can make cool stuff like this. She is always very creative in her designs too and has done some very impressive ones.

What a fantastic gift! You've got a fantastic quilt but even more so you have a lifetime of memories ahead of you now, every time you look at it and use it. You couldn't ask for a better present.

“The 1978 Ford Grenada, the Grenada ESS, Can you tell it from this impressive $20,000 Mercedes 280 SE?”

Yes,…yes I can. 🤔😂

We had a 1979 Mercury Monarch when I was a kid, it’s the car that I got my driving permit with.
I also had a 79 Mercury Monarch two door. Some kind of sport edition. It had really nice wheels and part vinyl roof. Six banger automatic. Sold it running at 160,000 miles. Sent the head out once for valve guides and general re-work.

Yeah, that's their horrible key fob alright. Since the 50 has been around a little while it must be the new 90.

Partial credit on being a double digit model..

Driving it for ~45 seconds? Easily in Too 10 of smoothest. Top 5, really. Mazda. (Toyota influence, as of late)

Decided to go ahead and turn off Passat lady's CEL again. Just to do her a solid.

@LDB I am probably a little out of the loop on "New." This one has very low miles and I would have guessed it a year or two old, that's why I said "very new." I haven't been paying attention to Mazda for awhile. So I apologize if what I said was misleading.

I used to like an Infiniti QX-30, but don't think I'd ever have one.... ...
