My Wife is back from her little adventure through Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. The title of that old Police song, “The beds too big without you” rings true. 🤔
Anyway, she loaded me up with a few things.

And she even brought the empty bottle from one of her lunches in Munich home! It’ll go up with all of the other different bottles that I have lining the top shelf along the ceiling in my garage.

Many Rivians and Amazon vans in for delivery or service
They have a fleet of their own flatbeds, they pickup your trade, and drop off your new Rivian
Guy was backing a 124 Spider off the truck, I quipped to him "Who traded in a classic like that on one of these things" 😀
The people they've got working there seem to have a positive outlook, don't look at the stock price 😳
I do hope they make it, someone needs to keep Elon Musk on his toes

There's a row of chargers, a staging and delivery area, and some stock of units in for service or awaiting delivery

Great stuff my friend....
I enjoyed it!

Luigi Chinetti's Ferrari Store
11th Avenue, NYC, early 1960's
When I was in my mid-teens, some Saturdays every month were spent at Chinetti's Ferrari showroom and shop. I'd spend most of my time in the back, where the mechanics worked on the cars. Chinetti frowned upon people hanging around, especially those with cameras, as he was very protective of his customers. However, I stayed in the back, blended into the scenery, and pretty much kept out of the showroom. He left me alone and the mechanics did as well. I loved watching them tune and adjust the multiple Weber carbs on those glorious 12-cylinder Colombo engines. Some of those engines had six carbs! This was Ferrari's foothold in the US and North America.

Shel,

Great story- thanks so much for sharing. A bygone time, where teenagers could "hang out" at some of the very coolest places learning so many different things. I loved to not only see the mechanics do their thing, but can only imagine the client base of this dealer in NYC in this era (not today's typical client of "hi-tech" wealth".

Not new to this, but true to this. We are a little bit past on 2 years of me learning about this board's sponsors, and partaking when I can.. Here is a photo showing my appreciation for two BITOG sponsors, @OIL_UDDER @OILUDDER and @High Performance Lubricants David is a wonderful man.

The next fill (when it arrives) will be the 5W-30 NO VII PCMO, since the Christmas score of Supercar 0W-20 (the @OVERKILL 0W-20 was hilarious but. My plan to own the 2nd printing fell through. Oh well. If it is lost forever, so be it) Has been exhausted across both vehicles.

2nd pic is a random of what's in both cars.

3rd pic is from my new friend, "somewhere in the middle of PA" that showed me this picture, "1 of 50 in the world" telling me about leaving a muscle car seeing its taillights in the twisties, he in a Porsche 930 on a Cannonball Run. Maybe some of you know who that is lol...

4th pic is Bugsy Malone in Sentry mode. He has settings. I've figured out he is a super advanced robot, sort of like E.T.

The last 4 pics are a car that costs $1400, is sitting on Ashburner St in Philadelphia, that would *almost* be a candidate for a 4th car because it's so very comfy and reliable.. if only that could be made to work. It's a little rough but I like it. However. Looks like it won't join the Fleet. More than likely not.

You got my mouth watering. I'll have to check out or local German grocery store that closed last year but has since opened under new ownership. I want that stuff on the roll in the last picture and hopefully, they still carry it. I always want to get one of those little Tyrolean felt hats so I can blend in with the locals while doing undercover work in New Braunfels, TX. ;)
