Luigi Chinetti's Ferrari Store
11th Avenue, NYC, early 1960's
When I was in my mid-teens, some Saturdays every month were spent at Chinetti's Ferrari showroom and shop. I'd spend most of my time in the back, where the mechanics worked on the cars. Chinetti frowned upon people hanging around, especially those with cameras, as he was very protective of his customers. However, I stayed in the back, blended into the scenery, and pretty much kept out of the showroom. He left me alone and the mechanics did as well. I loved watching them tune and adjust the multiple Weber carbs on those glorious 12-cylinder Colombo engines. Some of those engines had six carbs! This was Ferrari's foothold in the US and North America.

Roasting them early?, lol. How hot are those IR lamps?
Currently at 90F, but they’re not trying to run away from the light and they’re not all huddled up so it’s the perfect temperature. Each week you drop the temperature a bit until you’re at ambient in your house.
