Purolator date code. And YES it’s made by Purolator; baseplate looks different than traditional “stuff” but oh well

Some license plate frames that I had laying around. Another collector who collects plates reached out to me asking if I’d sell them to him for his collection. We agreed on a price of $5 and I’m also going to send him one of my dealership plates that they put on cars on the lot. We don’t do plate frames or I’d give him one too. I don’t really like plate frames unless you have standard plates or plates that match what the frame says. I couldn’t find any of our plate frames that we have had. I got these at work all from used cars so I am happy to pass them along since I’m not using them and have more interest in plates than frames.

The below text and author/ photographer are not from me. Awesome to see a Pinto in this condition and used as the owner's "daily driver". I believe the picture/ story is likely accurate as the other vehicles in the parking lot are late models- and the storefronts look common for today.

"1975 Ford Pinto I saw at the grocery store this morning! I asked the old chap how long has he owned it and he said since 1975. I then asked him what year is it and he also stated 1975, bought brand new at a dealership not far from where I saw him! This is the first time I've seen a Ford Pinto look this clean and neat in these times! He went on to tell me that this is the only car that he has driven in the last 47 years! I was definitely impressed!!"

Everyone makes fun of these old Pinto’s, but that’s impressive! Kudos to this guy for keeping her in great shape and not being bothered to “keep up with the Joneses”. 🍻
