Nice try, but not quite enough:

Do I at least get a free visit to a chiropractor to fix the perpetually sore back that it gave me?

I'm trying to figure out if I've drove 400k miles in total in all my vehicles?!
For my primary cars all have been used with some miles to start and got into the 120-180k mile range before being sold, or crashed.
For my personal miles on them its not very much I guess.
1981 Omega 30k
1995 Neon 150k
2007 Focus 100k
2006 Focus 30k so far
So ~310k miles total plus maybe 50k miles on my wifes cars for trips or whatever.
I can't think of many vehicles I'd buy with 300k km on them already that I would commute in so its a bit unlikely I'll ever see even 400,000 km on my odo ever.

My Chevy 2500HD LBZ Duramax is approaching 430,000, She's probably near the end of her life....But still mostly original & runs like the day I took delivery.

A/C clutch is getting wobbly
Pinion seal leak comes & goes with gear oil changes
Every 9 months or so....The TCM will lose comm with the ECM & go into limp mode. I simply clear the codes.
Half the cluster lighting LED's are dead
Headliner is falling
Driver seat needs redone for the second time & passenger front isn't far behind
Driver Temp Actuator sticks hot every once in awhile
Intermediate steering shaft clunk, Fixed temporarily by redistributing the grease.
Hydroboost unit is seeping
Front wheel bearings have a little slack, But not making noise. Yes....They are original.
Time to pull the Cooling Stack apart for a cleaning.
I'm sure I'll get some Glow Plug DTC's this winter, No big deal as I've swapped everyone a couple times by now.
Trans cooling line is starting to seep, Replaced them a few times now.
Drive Belt, Tensioner, & Idlers have about 100K on them & will need replaced soon.
Rear Leaf's are sagging, Not a big deal as I sold my 40' Gooseneck.

Most (gasoline) vehicles are not designed for 400,000 miles of life. The number of replies in this thread confirms that.

Only one in my family got to 400k with a GM 1500 … but ironically he just ran Mobil Super in bulk and whatever
MO-? jobber filter from the Mobil 1 Express Lube … (the cheapest special every 5k) …
He was also doing the BG trans flush … Brakes, tires, both wheel bearings, a gasket …

I think I only owned one** car I wanted to drive forever, everything else, " Into the mud, scum queen!"

I haven't even driven over 700K miles in my whole life - and I am getting old!

I driven well over a million miles-I was an outside salesperson for my career. But I pretty much rotated vehicles every 50,000 miles or so.

Highest mileage car I ever had was a 94 Honda accord with 415,xxx km 257k miles. Still running well, I bought a minivan and didn't want to insure another vehicle.

If I had a large detached garage I could see keeping a vehicle for a long time and keeping it going.

Good to see people with rides above 300k and those over 400k. Kudos to all of you.

Well as you can see, someone always seems to come along with a higher number. There are cars out there with a million miles. Maybe one day one will pop up on this thread.
When I was running trailers, I talked to a lot of guys that had 800,000 - 1,200,000 miles on their diesel pickups. Mostly Dodges, and a few Chevies. No Fords, though....

When I worked at a trucking company there was a tractor that had over a million miles and was just a few years old. Did the east coast to west coast run all the time.

There is a 2004 Silverado at work with over 500k on the original 5.3 (and only one replacement 4L60E). I don't think the heads have even been off. It started smoking and using a lot of oil recently, so we put some Restore in it maybe a week or two ago. Then it got driven a lot more than usual today and began ticking bad and the oil pressure gauge was maxed out at 80 psi or whatever the max reading is. I found an old bottle of Marvel Mystery Oil and poured maybe 1/3 of a quart in, then revved it to about 4k RPM a few times, and the ticking stopped. 🤣 Good as new, but the gauge is still pegged when running. This truck is long overdue for retirement, but the AC works. I also can't ever remember needing to have it towed except for when it was wrecked.

I have driven a number of tow trucks near or over that...
1986 F-350, 6.9 IDI. Close to 1,000,000 miles. 15w40 oil, various brands, Motorcraft or NAPA filters, changed at 5-6K. Engine is badly worn but still runs pretty well, though smokes when accelerating and does not like cold starting. Original T-19 4-speed, synchros replaced once, injector pump done twice, and injectors replaced once.

2001 F-550, 7.3 PSD, wrecked with ~930,000 miles. Various brands of 15w40, usually Motorcraft filters, changed at 7500 miles. Original turbocharger, original HPOP(!), three original fuel injectors, glow plugs and controller replaced once.

1979 International S1700, 200HP mechanical DT466. Over 800,000 miles since IFO, truck had over 1.5M miles. Oil changed at 10K miles, whatever 15w40 is on sale, Fleetguard or Wix filters. Even with 800K, that truck would start right up cold. At -15, just turn the key...by the time the top fan blade reached the bottom, it had fired-best cold starter I have ever seen. We never did it, but the transmission (Spicer 5-speed) was replaced at some point. After replacing a couple of hoses, the ancient JC Whitney underdash A/C worked perfectly. Still in service.

1999/2001 International 3800 bus, 190HP T444E. 340,000 miles, 20,000 engine hours. Oil changed at 10K miles or 250 hours, Motorcraft or Fleetguard filters.
