This car probably confuses a lot of people!

Why on earth....??

RWD, or did they find a way to keep the AWD? Either way, please tell me that's not the stock diff....

They blew up the diff in like 30 miles of driving; don't know what they replaced it with. It's RWD.

That same guy made a RWD LSx powered civic hatchback, aptly name "The Civette".

He probably does that to entice people to race him. Those F-tubes are largely found on gutless economy cars....to make them sound "fast" to those that know nothing about cars (including those driving the cars/installing the F-tubes). In a sense they are like a sweat-sock in a speedo. Ron Jeremy never had to do that.

Many consider F-tube equipped vehicles as easy prey for a kill. This includes my wife, who drives a mini-van.

Pretty sure the people who made it don't.

wouldn't fool anyone with that distinctive V-8 noise.

Kinda cool, in a Frankenstein sorta way!

To each his own. I've been involved in a couple of weird fabbed up rides when the creative juices were high and the budget was low!

There is a whole industry based on installing LSx variants into FD Mazda RX-7s, so why not this??

BTW; the above conversions handle just fine, as the alloy LSxes weigh very little more than the 3 rotors they replace. (Weight distribution changes ~ 1/2% to the front.

FDs had twin-turbo 2-rotor engines, not 3-rotors. The reason an LSx only weighs slightly more is that you can do without the turbos, intercoolers, and associated plumbing.

The 20B, the common 3-rotor swap, weighs significantly more than an LSx IIRC.
