First off, Happy New Year fellow BITOGER'S! My 2 wheel drive Dakota will be ready for new tires come spring. I have a set of dedicated snow tires for winter use. Currently have P255/65R-16" on the factory wheels. They are Firestone Destination LE's. I would like to put on a set of P265/70R-16". The truck is in exceptional condition with 88,000 miles, and as such will be looking for a quality product. Plan on keeping it for at least 3 more years. (Have you guy's looked at new truck price's lately?!) I am looking for recommendation's here, and will the P265's fit on my 2 wheel drive okay?

Whatever you get take advantage of mfg rebates. Michelin offering $70 right now. BJ's, Costco's and others offer these directly. BFG, Continental, Firestone, etc. offer something similar a couple times per year. It's a free $50-$70. And you can double that if you get someone to price match.

How many miles are you driving? I mean, if you plan on say 10k per year (per 3 seasons), so say a total of 30k in the predicted ownership--I'd go LE2's. I don't think the extra price of MS2's is justified. OTOH if you drive lots, maybe LTX's are justified. Will you wear out these tires before getting rid of the vehicle?
Do you drive at all off road, or is this strictly a pavement warrior? I'm wondering if a slightly more aggressive tire choice may make more sense. Just to toss out there.
