I'm thinking of switching oils from motorcraf 5w-20 full synthetic to Kendall 5w-20 full synthetic. It in a 2012 Ford fusion with the 2.5l I4 duratec it has 30000 miles on of almost all highway. All has been great with the motorcraft but I can get the Kendal for half the price. Do you allfor see any problem with this switch, orwould I just stick with the motorcarft. I've been following the maintenance monitor for oci, its bee right around 10000 mi

Why would some one be scared of it?

OP- Kendall is a great oil and is a cousin to motorcraft. Your engine will not notice the difference and it'll like the more stout additive package.

No problem switching. Cutting your cost in half is a good thing. Being in Kentucky you could use conventional for 10,000.

+1 - Mobil Super has titanium as part of the additive pack and it performed as well as moly based Pennzoil Ultra in my vehicle.

Another +1 - Kendall is at least equal to and likely better than MC and your pocketbook will like the reduction in cost. Use it with no worries!

I ran Castrol Edge with Ti and it did fine**, though it ran a bit "thick" in the fit.
** Until I messed it up by putting a 1/3 can of LubriMoly in the sump 1/2 way through the OCI.
