I'm currently going through some photo albums. I came across a few pictures from the summer of 1990. That year we spent a few weeks cruising the right coast. Disney World had just opened in Orlando and we went there.
Mel's Diner at DW
Outside Mel's with a copy of the 1923 Beverly Hills Montmartre mansion in the back. The original was a restaurant and nightclub with gambling for the high rollers.
Dad taking our picture. Looks like sunburn to me.
There was the Jaws ride which was the reason why I wanted go to Disney in the first place. The ride closed in 2012.
I remember shooting this fuzzy Niagara Falls picture with a disposable waterproof Kodak camera. We had bought bunch of them in Florida and I still have an unused one today. I just don't know where it is. It's like the lost car key scenario all over again.
First, let me say that I didn't snap this pic. It was sent to me by an east coast friend. However, I wanted to post it here because it epitomizes a picture snapped while driving around.
The kids in the extended family decided they wanted to go to the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. So we loaded up four vehicles and drove 100 miles to get there.
I have posted pictures of the Boardwalk before O i'll spare you more of the same. However, a storm caused 90 feet of the huge pier in Santa Cruz to break off and fall into the ocean. The public toilet floated largely intact a bit south.where the San Lorenzo River flows into the sea. The toilet made it into the mouth of the river and got stuck there.
On the way to Santa Cruz
The toilet that fell off the pier, that got washed away, and washed up.
I did not have a burger but the kids did.
I had what I believe was $7 Swiss Miss.
On the way back I stopped for a quick shot of the sky above HMB
If you take time to look at the rear bumper on the rear right tail light they took the time energy and resources to smell the word out in full as they didn't have enough letters in the personalized license plate. After the recent news of the possible merger of Nissan and Mitsubishi with Honda I felt that would be more fitting on one of those two models of cars as they become the Dodge and Chevy of Japan.
