Has anybody thinned their fluid in their open diff in arctic conditions? My winter beater only see's really cold weather, and I decided to thin the diff fluid slightly with MMO. Has anybody else done this on an OPEN differential?

MMO is not GL5. If you require a GL5 gear oil, and its really cold, use a synthetic.

When you post several questions and then don't come back and answer questions that other members have taken the time to ask you in return, people tend to not want to answer any more of your questions, which is what happened in this thread...

I told you that you were using the wrong oil in your rigs, ESPECIALLY in the Minnesota winter, so why you didn't you respond to any of the follow up questions people asked you? The best way to learn is to have a dialogue with others about your concerns.

I would not mix MMO with gear oil.

I agree, I expect no more responses from here on out.
