Does anyone know which 10w30 high mileage oil would be the thickest?
Would it be Maxlife or Casrol or maybe some other?

Mobil 1 High Mileage 10w30, has a HTHS of 3.5 and a CST of 12.1 @ 100C also it's ACEA A3/B3.

The first thing that I want to know is - Why do you need "the thickest" HM 10w30 oil? What is it about your engine that you feel requires it?

Next is - if you're concerned about having a thick HM 10w30, why not just go with a 10W-40?

You're splitting hairs if you're looking for the thickest High Mileage oil in the same weight. If you want thicker, why not just go up a level to a High Mileage 10w-40?

Either way, between MaxLife and Castrol High Mileage, I prefer MaxLife beacuase it ran so smooth in my vehicle when I used it.

Trying to keep timing tensoners a bit quiet at start up. I replaced them but still getting a little rattle only at start up.
Mostly when it sits for a couple of days.

I agree with the chaps above: if your looking for the thickest High Mileage oil you may as well go the higher HTHS in a 10w40. GF-5 oils would be hard pressed to go above 3.2

Castrol GTX 10W40

GF-5

This might sound like an odd suggestion but hear me out;

Esters help condition seals,
And,
Redline usually have a film strength equivalent to one grade higher viscosity, so,

Redline 5/10w30
