I was driving my T-bird in the snow today and noticed that both my tires would spin at times in turns occaisonally. I have an open rear differential.
Would cold synthetic gear oil (being thicker) provide quasi-lockup performance in an open differential?
If this is true, would using something THICK in a torsen differential or clutch LSD aid in augmenting lockup performance? Thick as in synthetic 75 or 80W-140?
