They will put on a mask, get a jab and stay home like good obeying citizens, cause it’s for their own good. Most did already and will do it again. Just wait till next pandemic.
 
AI being talked about more and more everyday is overshadowing genetic manipulation. Each day the dystopia depicted in the 1997 movie “Gattaca” becomes more and more closer to becoming real.

The robot said something degrading about the perp's mother. Most likely something to the effect of her having her own gravitational pull.

The way society is moving with increasingly soft liberal views, the real danger is that robots/AI will get recognition as sentient beings which will endow them with rights such that we won't be able to disagree with them never mind turn them off. For a view of how this might turn out read Foundation's Fear by Gregory Benford which is about AI used to create simulations of the historical characters Joan of Arc and Voltaire. You know this future could be possible when society in all seriousness already recognises men with dangly bits as women.

I would be more concerned about cloning before AI.

What if you take the brain cell / stem cell out of a person and create a brain out of it, are you obligated to create the rest of the body or should you kill it before it turn sentient? When can you recognize it as sentient?
