Who watches this series? My wife and I have really gotten into it (on Netflix). Season 3 was a bit of a let down. I have really enjoyed the suspense and character development - although I could do without the graphic gore.

We are pretty big fans of the show though.

I love the show. My wife not so much. Starts the new season Sunday.

I watch it. it is one of the very few TV shows I make it a point to watch. I loved the first season, Mrs. Jimmy gave me the first season on DVD for Christmas a couple years ago. Season 2 was more of a soap opera but it got better the last 3 or 4 shows and the finale was great. Season 3 was better but still both season 2 and 3 lacked the intensity and just plain scary-ness of the first season. I can not wait for Sunday when season 4 kicks off..It is said that it will be gorier and hopefully more genuinely scary this time around, but also have more "world building" where the characters try to create a more normal and safer civilization, so we will see how it turns out I guess.

If you like the TV show, check out the webisodes on amctv.com. There are 2 webisodes for season 3 online right now, both are every bit as intense as the first season...Walking Dead is one of the best TV shows I have ever seen and certainly one of the best on TV right now.

I agree, the first season was by far the best...every episode is worth watching at least again and once more. The feeling of being on the road with no real shelter - heck, even the camp was somewhat exposed and dangerous... that's what gave it such a freaky element. And Rick finding his way through a torn city with just a bag of guns and limited ammo... the group on the roof... the CDC... yeah it was all amazing. Season 2 was cool and even the Farm was great, but went too slowly. Season 3 seemed too "secure" even though there were walkers in the prison. It was just too fenced in and protected, and the only episode they really exposed themselves was in "Clear" when they went to get the guns from Morgan. I loved that episode. The whole Governor and Woodberry was kinda stupid, in my opinion.

(spoiler)

Wish they wouldn't have killed off Lori and Andrea!

+1 my wife refuses to watch it with me.

I just finished watching season 3 on Netflix and agree that it was a bit of a let down. I found it a little tedious to get through, whereas i had to force myself to close the browser and not watch "just one more episode" for the first two seasons.

I was antsy and excited for each new season before, but I don't think I'll have any problems waiting for season 4 to arrive on Netflix some time next year...

I have been watching, but it's been letting me down consistently.. I hope this season is good or I'll lump it together with shows like Prison Break.. :P

That's the best parts!!!

Some of it is okay, when it strives to prove a point. But season 3's gore was a substitute for real action and storyline. At that point I decide they're grabbing air for ratings. Example, in "Seed", they pull a helmet off a walker and his flesh and face come off. Too much, too gross.

Hear, here!

I watch it any chance I can. I've been watching the past seasons on TV this week, as they are doing marathons to promote the new season.

I also watched the Talking Dead shows last season, and it sort of ruined the show for me. Turns out, most of the actors are British and have heavy accents that don't match their characters. Now when I watch Rick, I sometimes hear what he's saying in the British accent. Maggie's character on the other hand, is much more interesting to watch now that I know about the British accent! Yowza!
