Yea, this story was in our paper, too. I bet his asian bosses
are PO! They are also claiming huge sales increases this past month..what's up with that? In Chicagoland, the TV/radio ads are running non-stop, cost'em a fortune, ha!

No just posting a relevant story that broke Monday of last week. Trying to provide information for those who want to know the facts.

Of course, those who have already made their minds up without knowing the whole story, like you apparently have, are free to ignore this thread. And any other relevant facts that may come along.

Does anyone on this board honestly believe that if this memo were written by a Ford or GM Vice President, we wouldn't have all kinds of Toyota fan boys posting about it? We still have to hear about the Pinto or the Side saddle gas tanks, but this story from Monday is "old news"?????

ROGER THAT!

Aside from the bias here, I find it odd that the new President of Toyota said he was going to correct and fix this but as yet he has fired no one at Toyota over this???

You would think a competant CEO/President wouldnt be stupid enough to say that to all his customers and primary market and then hold no one accountable, he should be giving a bunch of his irresponsible employees who did this and covered it up pink slips as an example that corruption shouldnt be tolerated especially when people are being killed.

Hey the bottom line is the sales of toyota even after all this are doing well..... Sp start whatever you like the public is not buying it....but they are buying Toyotas....

Well, the public used to think that Brittney Spears had talent too, so I don't put much stock into what the public is buying.....

Japanese do business differently, the responsible of a failure is expected to quit the company by himself, putting the shame on is shoulder and is family. Don’t be surprise when everything will be done to see the president quitting is jobs with a deep apology, it might seem trivial to do so for us, but for them the shame is overwhelming,

Just a note before putting Toyota on a cross, remember the worker, dealer, shipping company do hire a great deal of people. While the management should be held responsible and serve as an example not just for Toyota but the other auto maker, we should remember the company is needed and im sure will get over is mistake and regain is fame with time.

Nobody has ever accused the American public of making logical, well informed decisions.

Half of all people are below average.

I highly doubt the new President Toyoda(namesake family) is going to quit for something he isnt responsible for.

He should of come out and said heads will roll and the poeple who knew about this and covered it up will be terminated, that is how you fix things in large companies especially when people inside violate a code of ethics. If you dont get rid of the cancer is spreads.
