The sound of a perfect credit score

Funny video but it doesn't represent the real world.

It's the folks that have mediocre credit scores and are struggling that the financial guys at car dealerships feast on.
He has videos for that, too. LOL

Last time I went in to buy a car, I just remember, trying to fill out the form. I could fill out current employer, but waffled at the last one... started to talk to my wife about that, salesguy took one look at duration at my current job and basically took the form, "I think we're set here". :) 20 years at the same job, I guess that says something.

My score is above 800. My last purchase the finance manager tried to catch me sleeping and I almost walked out after calling him out on his lies about his buy rate. He did not know I worked for dealers almost all my life and I know the game. The finance department is probably the most dishonest department in a dealership. I told him to choose on making a little bit on my finance or nothing because I was going to finance with my credit union if he didn't give me a fair rate. He caved in but tried to sneak a wheel and tire package into the deal thinking I wouldn't notice.

My dealer doesn't play any games on sales or finance. Zero games. Zero pressure. Zero untruths. Just an honest deal. I wish I'd found them long ago. My first purchase was 1.9%, the at that time current Ford deal. My current purchase, a little over a week ago, is 0%. Both deals took maybe 10 minutes with the very nice finance manager to sign and initial a hundred places. And in addition to an absolutely painless process there's an EXCELLENT Mexican restaurant on the island, in business for over 100 years now, so lunch was great too.

There are a few great dealerships around, we just have to find them, and be willing to travel a bit to get to them.
The nearest dodge dealer to me is very corrupt.
But drive 2 hours and there is a gem of a dodge dealer.
My local honda dealer is awesome.
8 hours away is an amazing Porsche dealer.

Its funny and all but I've never seen a car salesman start to be nicer due to a high credit score. Realistically, they don't really care as long as the credit score is high enough to get approval through one of the lenders.
