Love it or hate it but the new one looks sharp. Get the plug-in hybrid one, it's a little rocket ship for what it is.
The new one has a whopping 230 horsepowerThe only car made in 2021 slower than my Prius Prime is the normally aspirated Outback station wagon.
I do like that my car takes $50, 15 inch tires vs the expensive 17s on the newer generation.

Is that experience with the newest Prius, or the previous generations? Because the 2022+ is a completely different animal compared to all of its predecessors.Civic Hybrid is a similar car that does 0-60 a second faster.
My experience with hybrids (Prius and Accord Hybrid) is that they are great in stop-n-go traffic. The in-town acceleration is fine, but they not fun at all on twisty roads - a lot of rubber-band feel when you're powering out of a corner.
The manual diesel VW polo was rated for 70 mpg on Top Gear back in the day. Unfortunately it wasn't sold here so it's difficult to know what mpg US spec would have done.I like the newest design of the Prius a lot! I would love to borrow one for a week to see what kind of MPG I can get from it, since I have a knack for getting way better MPG from my cars than they are rated for. I bet I could get 70 MPG average from a Prius if I had it for a week.
