Love it or hate it but the new one looks sharp. Get the plug-in hybrid one, it's a little rocket ship for what it is.

The new one has a whopping 230 horsepower

For comparison my 2021 Sienna has 245 horsepower. Can't wait for the plug-in hybrid version of this thing
So you're telling me I shouldn't be blaming all the old ladies I see driving these things for driving so slow?
Around here, clapped out Prius' are usually the fastest vehicles slicing though traffic.
I’ll stick with 16mpg just so I don’t have to look at it in my driveway

I like the newest design of the Prius a lot! I would love to borrow one for a week to see what kind of MPG I can get from it, since I have a knack for getting way better MPG from my cars than they are rated for. I bet I could get 70 MPG average from a Prius if I had it for a week.
Civic Hybrid is a similar car that does 0-60 a second faster.
My experience with hybrids (Prius and Accord Hybrid) is that they are great in stop-n-go traffic. The in-town acceleration is fine, but they not fun at all on twisty roads - a lot of rubber-band feel when you're powering out of a corner.

I really wouldn’t mind one.
Though I’m not convinced it won’t be a penalty box as it ages. Not sure I’ve been in a small car that has a comfortable ride.

Is that experience with the newest Prius, or the previous generations? Because the 2022+ is a completely different animal compared to all of its predecessors.
Prius as a brand days are numbered IMO because most of Toyota's models can be a hybrid now.
There is very little incentive to get a Prius over a Hybrid Corolla or Hybrid Camry unless one is really into Prius looks. The MPG difference is not really a good seller for it anymore.

I like the styling of the new Prius. I’d drive one in a heartbeat.
We have been driving Prius' for about 15 years now. I really like Toyotas hybrid synergy drive and it's reliability.

A good brand name is worth millions. Toyota can keep it going if they keep pushing the envelope. The PHEV version would be the one to keep improving.
The manual diesel VW polo was rated for 70 mpg on Top Gear back in the day. Unfortunately it wasn't sold here so it's difficult to know what mpg US spec would have done.
