Wow, these things were a LOT more expensive then I thought.
I checked WIX, Polaris, And Blackstone.

I have Blackstones kit and filled it, but Jeez, If you get the Useful things for extending OCI's, It's
$45

Why can't they do something like a BITOGER's special
Analysis/TBN/TAN with for a minor discount.
I know its difficult, And they have their right to make there money, But it almost seems uneconomical to do these for 4 or 5 OCI's to get a baseline when you could just Dump your GC/M1/PP/PU/QS/Whatever 1k or 2k early.

It's just quite a bit of money.

Why pay more for a UOA than an oil change itself. I did two about 4 years ago for the novelty of it. For me, there are very few reasons for a UOA.

Unless they have recently dropped their prices, it is $29.00 for the MOB II analysis (TAN and TBN) and the cost of the sample bottle (which includes shipping) is $6.59 for a total of $35.59 for a UOA.

Dunno. I've always paid $24. Last time I used them was back in April of this year.

I have full access to an ICP for analysis....but I haven't been able to find a real write up (haven't really looked real hard yet though either though) on how to prepare an oil sample for analysis.

I could do the elemental trace analysis once I have the sample prep figured out.

I'm not sure UOA is cost effective "IF" it's performed instead of an oil change. Certainly, many engines only contain 5 quarts and even quality synthetics don't cost all that much. I get the M1 special w/filter for $30 at AAP from time to time. Hard to beat that.

I use UOA as a basic tool, and only perform it occasionally. Or if I suspect a problem.

I agree! $18 including TBN with preferred customer discount can't be beaten. I have yet to see it cheaper.

How would one get this PC discount

. I currently don't need any Amsoil products, Might give them a try as I have nothing against them, It's just Cost Effectiveness, And there MLM system bothers me.

You have to go through a dealer... not a big deal really. PM Pablo, who is an Amsoil Dealer and a site sponsor I believe. He can hook you up.

As noted I can get you signed up.

Here's the link with non-PC pricing:

Amsoil contracted Oil Analysis LINK

Nothing wrong with Amsoil MLM, no pressure from me or anything like that if that's what bothers you. Thanks.
