I hope that you have a battery tender.Just replaced the battery on my Bad Boy ZTR today . $65 for a freaking lawn mower battery !! Wow .
I use it year round . I mulch leaves about once a week in the winter .I hope that you have a battery tender.
I think it's 350CCA .They're still $20-30 at Rural King and Walmart here for the standard U1L/R sizes. $30-40 if you want the upgraded one with more CA.
Is yours an unusual size or something?
Usually anything over 260CCA is more expensive. Only the bottom level 180CCA or 140CCA are the 20-30 dollar batteries from what I've seen. The 300+ do seem to last a big longer in my experience, and they are absolutely needed for cranking over some of the big V-Twins, especially the machines with higher electrical loads such as an electric PTO clutch, lights, etc.I think it's 350CCA .
My Joh Deere D140 with 22 HP B&S V-Twin came with a 195 CCA battery that lasted four full seasons. That was replaced with a 230 CCA U1 battery from Walmart which is now approaching the end of season #3. I believe it cost $28 at the time; I haven't priced them lately. $65 does seem excessive unless it was 340 CCA or higher.Just replaced the battery on my Bad Boy ZTR today . $65 for a freaking lawn mower battery !!
