Honda Introduces Battery Mowers

Not that simple to convert................. transmission, controls, fitment, vertical configuration, etc. Cost not effective.

it was mostly a joke though the shot of it from underneath does not look appreciably different from my 217, suspect its basically the same under the engine / battery.

45 minutes run time would take something like 3 batteries to do my yard, i do like that it appears to have real blades.

Have you used a battery mower?

No intention of doing so until i cant keep my 3 honda gas mowers going any longer.

I don't get why Honda wouldn't produce the two line-ups side by side, even if it meant trimming down the gas options and not investing in further development. I feel they are leaving money on the table by removing that option for those who refuse to buy electric either out of choice or out of necessity for gas. Toro seems to be sticking to this plan which seems like a wise move.

We bought the 80V Greenworks mower for just our front lawn as it's a bit small for the ZT. Works perfectly. We have plenty of batteries and it even came with a large AH battery for less than $500. $1000+ for a fuel diluting Honda? YIKES.
