the OFFICIAL "Advance Auto Parts (AAP) closing" thread ... put ALL deals, rebates, etc here ... (forum rules still apply)

Is anyone else unable to access their speed perks? Mine show unavailable, despite having enough rewards.

For now I've been able to access/use my SP. But the AAP website is a mess!! Has been offline at random times. Your VERY lucky to be able to even search for parts

Looks like this delo is up next - $10 a gallon. I got two jugs at one store and have placed an order for a few more. This is not a local clearance item. I guess they're clearing it out for the new SB formulation which meets some additional specs, like Ford F1.

Then use code WINTER20 for 20% off your order if you hit the $100 mark!

One store I walk to already clearanced these out. I got all 3 at $7 each.

That’s some great negotiating skills at 80 cents a quart.

Actually, that's what they rang up on POS @ a closing store?? No "Overrides" allowed per store manager🤷‍♂️

So if ANYONE of you guys find a closing store with the old Carquest fluids, I STRONGLY recommend you have them SCAN for current price!! As you can see for me it paid off!! :sneaky:  (y)

The CQ 80W-90 bottles were $5 each but I found a better deal ;)

Just a heads up, I think you will hate these aerosol cans. They are awful and clog and you have to fight with them. Big waste of time. Turning them upside down sometimes works to clear the nozzle. Sometimes you can swap nozzles with another can until that one clogs too. I was keeping my empty cans around that still had some pressure to help clear nozzles.
Hot tip. Soak the cans in a tub of warm water before using and shake well.

As dnewton3 said in thread check your stores and do your homework.

I know many have discussed this being better and lasting longer than Fluid Film. I grabbed a couple spray cans that were $2.21 per can. For those with sprayers this looks like great option IMO. Blaster Clearance

Much prefer wool wax or fluid film.

But at $3 dollars a can, I couldn't pass this up. Took two stores to find eight cans.

Didn't find any gallons or 5 gallon jugs anywhere in the metro where I live.

Loaded up on this today. One store manager told me that this pricing was only supposed to be for closing stores but someone screwed up and made it U.S. wide...

Nice find!

I get the ominous All Sales at this Store are final disclaimer.

If you can't find a deal at your local store, try using a California Zip code to find a store that's going out of business, then ordering enough for free shipping. It worked for my Delo haul last month.
What's the trick for shipping oil to home? When I do that, it reverts the price to $6/qt instead of $3.xx/qt. If I use a California zip code, then non of the 316 oils are available for ship to home. If I use a Henderson, NV store, then it will allow ship to home, but price changes when I look in the cart.

IDK, it worked for the delo 5w40 a couple months back for me. I was using a work computer (that "tunnels" out via random IP addresses) and followed advice here to pick a particular zip code. I didn't get the sale price at home but did at work. 🤷‍♂️

I have to ask this question because I have a vehicle that is on the borderline of yes/no when it comes to the 5W-40 XSP Delo.

2012 Mercedes E350 Bluetec. 229.5 is recommended and although a few posted a at the MB enthusiast forums have used these as a one time oil, I'm heavily hesitant on anything that can mess with the emissions system.

Also if there are any other discounts besides WINTER20 I'm all ears.

I've noticed that difference too seemingly based on an IP address. Weird way to do online business. I didn't get the store price & ship to home option either at work (California based) or at home (Alabama). I selected stores in CA, OR, WA, NV, TN, & AL. Oh well. It was worth a shot.
