the OFFICIAL "Advance Auto Parts (AAP) closing" thread ... put ALL deals, rebates, etc here ... (forum rules still apply)

there were deep discounts on semi-obsolete dash cams, fuel additives, and other chemical deals that reverted to full price again, at stores within a 25 mile radius around me at midnight last night. Some of the discounts on tools are still alive.

I've only got 4 boxes (of 3) and a few single gallons around. Should do fine in my re-engined sonata until it blows up again, lol ! I just throw the next oil change in the netting in the trunk a couple weeks before the next oci, stirs them up plenty.

The other day it said there were in stock between two stores nearby. This am it said the same.

This pm I went to buy them and only one was left. Everything shows it to be gone, and I called the stores to check.

They had to go in the back to get the one I ended up with.

Thanks for the heads up!

This still seems alive, I just got 4 jugs on our annual Christmas trip to Denver (was a late Christmas celebration with family Jan 4)

Most stores seem to only stock two jugs total. I got two on S Havana in Denver and two in Fountain (sorry @c502cid)

Many stores seem to keep oil ALL OVER THE PLACE so look carefully (assuming it's not in back). Check all aisle end caps and the back wall.

My experience on S Havana was that if they put in the part # on their screen (#222220478) it comes up as $30.95 and shows an image of an all gray and blue bottle ‐‐ no red). They seemed unwilling to price match but said I could order on my phone because the website and online cart is still $24.75. Then the guy had a 20% coupon he scanned for me which brought the $30.95 within pennies and I left well-enough alone.

So, you're left to order for pickup and hope the employees don't snag it, or go to the store and then find a way to get the $24.75 price. I ordered for pickup in Monument figuring if it got canceled life would go on, but they honored it and it was ready for me.

Using the "in stock nearby" link seems to show A LOT of stores in Denver that show stock -- however I have no idea if the stock numbers are accurate.

All this for basically $100+tax:

I scored two more this weekend from a store that said they were out.

My experience was similar with the ring up price being higher, but showing the price on my phone, they were more than glad to change it for me.

AAP seems to be clearing out Fram 15w40, conventional in buckets at $44.99 and synthetic blend in 1 gallon jugs at $8.75. This is in my area and I checked a few other states randomly. I picked up both variants yesterday. Use speed perks to grind the price down further. YMMV. Good luck.

I too was able to find the gallons at $8.75 but the buckets were full price. I was mostly trolling pricing of Denver area stores.

Thanks for the heads up!

My local store which is closing is now 80-95% off everything behind the counter. It took me 3 trips to get everything to my car... for just under $25.

Same here went to 2 local closing stores and manager was JUST installing new signs

oil is now 50% off after 3-4 weeks @ 40%..........Sheesh!!!

Scored some more brake pads for my vics, carquest/Fram oil filters, including a "holy grail" FL-820s for $1.60!!! :ROFLMAO: 🥴

Ordered 13 gallons for home delivery. We shall see. I was able to pick up 20 gallons of the delo 5w40 for this price in store.(have 6 stores in my area)

Not a brag but check out their website its insanity some sample deals.
note I got free oil filters with the m1 oil but they were marked down to 1.70 anyway.

also available: Restore and protect is 0w20x5qt for $20

Total below $92 They also have buckets of blastershield 1 and 5 gallon available for ship to home if anyone missed that.
