There are too many duplicate same/similar threads ongoing about AAP closings.
ALL threads regarding AAP will now be merged into this one single thread as of 1-30-25, and so continuity of conversation may be disconcerting; realize that threads merged will not always follow direct conversational path.

Typically my store's too lazy to do, well, anything. It'll usually sit there marked at full price until late fall and then they're shocked when it rings up for a dollar or even .05

So, score one for sloth!

Since it's a Mobil product i'm going to call lit now that it'll be scooped up by "walk in customers" and shop accounts when it hits $15 or less?? :unsure:

But then again the "truck and suv" might confuse others?? Like our fan favorite Shell rotella Gas/Truck lol ;)

We lucked out on The total deal since it was a "no name" brand for general public !! If it was Mobil 1 or Valvoline on clearance then things would have been different and not many of us would have lucked out on the Total oil deal ;)(y)

I still kick myself for not keeping the 50ish?? jugs of 5W-30 Total quartz once I found out how GOOD the additive pack was( rookie mistake) :(
 
I remember buying Mobil 1 at $3.48 qt back in 1995....:)

The price of the 5qt jug isn't too bad.
 
“10,000 miles guaranteed” sounds like regular M1 that i wouldn’t push past 5k miles in anything. Not a mobil fan and i hope they’re cutting this product line entirely. they have way too many lines of oil taking up space in every store. 0w-40 and EP HM are the only products i will consider using from Mobil.

I have watched reviews on YT and Blackstone UOA's showing M1 has gone down in quality. And yes the euro 0W-40 and 5W-40 are still GOOD oils

I agree 1000% Basic "Vanilla" M1 is a 5000 mile oil at best !!!

Any of the basic M1 I just sell to my shop/dealer customers. If its Valvoline full syn, Pennzoil platinum or Castrol Edge I keep that for myself ;)
