I don't think you get me comprehensively.
“Comprehensively”? I don’t even know your name. This thread has nothing to do with my evaluation of you as a person. Once you realize that, maybe you’ll be able to hear what I’m saying.

Your wants (wanting to comprehend what I said without any own mental effort) are irrelevant to me. But in an effort to make you stop being so annoying, I will be clear now for the first time in my entire life, mostly because you literally asked for it: Will you please get off my last nerve and stop making suggestions as to how (sarcastically, cynically, enigmatically etc) I choose to interact with people?
If this were an instance where I was forcing my personal values on you (either regarding what you should care about or how you should care about it), then I would agree that you have every right to be angry. I’m sure the last thing either of us needs is a mother hen giving directives over the internet.
You started this thread and publicly accused everyone here of taking advantage of you. You then continued this same line throughout the thread and even went so far as to state that I (and by implication others) have been unable to see the clearly defined requests you have apparently strewn across the forum. Since my search engine is evidently a different model than the one you have, I’ll go ahead and let you know that you never actually gave any meaningful indication of what you wanted from other people. You got exactly what you asked for, nothing, and then complained when you got it. After Lord knows how many food threads you have “casually” posted, only at the eleventh hour did you ever actually state what you wanted, and only this after I leaned on you during your farewell speech. The position you present has no merit.
If you want something that involves the true cooperation of another person, ask. Don’t assume. If you want to talk about coercion, you should take a good look in the mirror, because the entire nature of this thread is predicated on the idea that we should feel guilty about harming you in some way and subsequently bend over backwards to figure out what we did wrong. You’re not being persecuted. Sorry.
I like your pictures. I want you to keep posting them. I also want you to get what you want, which is apparently to have other people post their pictures as well. If you really do enjoy watching people crawl through the fog you’ve created, you need to weigh the satisfaction of the moment with the realization that the feeling is probably not mutual. Most people are only going to go so far before they give up, and while that may be functional for you in some other area (e.g. keeping people at arm’s length), you are never really going to make any momentous progress towards your goals which involve the true cooperation of other people if you try and fulfill both needs simultaneously (assuming you actually know what your goals are in the first place). Again, one isn’t inherently more valuable than the other; go with whatever means more to you. I’m not telling you what you want. Given that the world is a functionally predictable place though, over the long haul you likely aren’t going to be able to get your rocks off watching people stagger through your maze and concurrently complete goals involving the true cooperation of other people unless you’re a magician or find yourself in the right environmental conditions. Maybe you can pull a rabbit out of your hat or maybe you’ve got the right settings to work your will, and if you can use one or both to your advantage in a way that doesn't negatively impact the rest of your life to a degree you find distasteful, more power to you. Make yourself happy. (Note the distinct lack of sarcasm here.)
I sincerely don’t give a #@$%! what blows your skirt up, and if you can find a functional way to achieve your goals, then there’s not much more you can ask out of life. If your goals are in competition with mine, then we’ll compete, and if your goals collaborate with mine, then we can work together. I guess I would hope that your goals are similar to mine, but I have no rational contention for why you shouldn’t be able to choose them for yourself. That’s not to say that people can’t be mistaken about how they understand their goals (understand them in a functional way) or be mistaken about how to achieve them though. Don’t blame me when you can’t get what you want if it’s not my fault that you couldn’t get it.
You got my two cents on this; I really don’t have a lot more to say to you. If you enjoy throwing bait for people like me once in a while, then I apologize for reinforcing your behavior (if it truly isn’t working for you over the long haul), but hopefully the better part of what I wrote rolled around in your head for a while. Either which way, I do like going on these rants, and it’s been a good month or two since I’ve really cranked out a solid one. *sigh* You caught me at a weak moment, you sly devil. Anyway, hopefully that last nerve of yours has stayed attached long enough for you to make it through reading this. Adiós.
