The great burger thread

The only justifiable reason for putting catsup and pickles on a burger is to cover up the taste of low quality meat. I'm looking at you, Mickey D's! I'm okay with cheese, bacon, grilled onions, and avocado as these things complement the taste of meat. I don't have to have all of those things on my burger.

I have a burger once a week and I'm sure at least some people here cant resist a good burger. Post your burger pictures here!

I went surfing today and I had this NorCal burger from a local burger joint near the beach. Like I often do, I pulled out the lettuce and ate it separately. You can't see it but there's avocado in there. No fries. I had a salad instead.

Hope you're riding a longboard. Had a burger the other night at a place i never tried before. Local chain called Freddy's Steak Burgers. Decent.

I saw a show about DYER'S on Food Network. They have been using the same grease for 100 years to cook their burgers in. Everyone that FN interviewed stated that they were the best burgers they had ever tasted.

From chain outfits, I used to like Smashburger, but the location near me closed down.

There are a number of local (non-chain) restaurants around here that can make a decent burger, but nothing exceptional.

Lately, I've been grilling my own, using this seasoning recipe which is very nice:

I usually add grilled onions and mushrooms also, in addition to all the standard stuff (lettuce, tomato, pickle, etc.)

Super fresh 90/10 cooked medium rare to medium, american cheese, salt, pepper, mayo and ketchup on a Thomas's English Muffin or Maier's potato roll. I usually eat two so I have one of each. I know 80/20 is the standard for burgers but I've had several heart attacks and bypass surgery so I've convinced myself that 90/10 is the way to go.
