The furthest you've driven

The longest I ever endured behind the wheel was the escape from Hurricane Katrina in August of 2005. Twelve hours, barely 100 miles, 99% of it bumper-to-bumper creep-and-beep.

Distance, I guess from Austin, TX, back to NO in September of 1985, but then my wife and I took turns driving. By myself, it'd have to be the May 1993 run from New Orleans to Fort Worth and the succeeding runs from Fort Worth-Carlsbad, NM, from Carlsbad to San Antonio, and San Antonio back to NO.

Southern Maine to Youngstown Ohio to visit family as part of a plot to get a car to my sister in Dallas TX in three days.

Gassed up in Worcester MA then made it 265 miles to Wilkes-Barre PA without leaving 5th gear.

720 miles from Phx to Ontario, CA, then back. It was late though, I couldn't have done it if my sister wasn't keeping me up :)

It was for a job of mine, that's why I didn't stay long.

Even the Cannonball Run didn't average 100 mph for 24 hours! Maybe in a light plane...

Nah! NO WAY! Absolute fantasy.

For my own part, solo twice in the SVX, Denver to Portland, over 1250 miles in about 23 hours total driving time with only fuel stops (and concurrent "used coffee stops") every 400 (or so). I don't do that any more as it is not fun. An overnite stay in Twin Falls makes it a much safer and enjoyable trip, that's for sure!

Cheers!

1,528Km to my parent's place in New Brunswick. I've made the trip MANY times. Fastest I've done it was 12 hours, longest was 18.

Sometimes you are more than willing to drive all day and night to get out of the January cold up north and into some Southern Sun lol.

I used to make runs from middle of VA to south LA (1000mi) in about 15-16hrs when I was dating my wife. my '86 GTI would get around 38-40mpgs, 400mi/tank IIRC. I would just get gas, a coke and some M&Ms and drive until I needed gas again.
will be making the drive again soon, but now its from PA to LA, 1300miles and 3 kids.

U?

2200 miles in a car in 30 some hours.
I'm not proud of myself and I won't do it again.

800 miles/14 hours from NY to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Woke up at noon on a Friday, left at midnight and got down there around 3pm.

Had about 4 coffees and two 5 hour energy on the way.

Wow I feel inadequate with my measly 500 mile drive. When we lived in Georgia we drove to ohio, that was roughly 900 miles each way. Then when we moved from new york to hawaii we drove non stop from saratoga to st louis MO. That was 1000 miles. The rents switched of course.

By myself in one shot - Minneapolis to Denver and Vice Versa. Too many times. 920 miles, 14 to 14.5 hours give or take.

Longest with others: Park City, UT to Minneapolis in one shot. 1250 miles give or take, about 20 hours. Never again...

Did Costa Mesa, California .5 miles from the beach off the 55 to Lexington, Virginia.

Hauling 6 horses behind my 2000 F-350 DRW, CC, longbed, diesel Combined weight was 27,975Lbs full of fuel (88 Gallons 38+ main 50 gallon transfer flow in bed tank)

First Leg was Costa Mesa, CA to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 1,400 miles +/- 10 23:45. Got horses bedded down and slept for 10 hours.

Then Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lexington, Virginia about 1,000 Miles did that in a tick over 20:15

Had USELESS co-pilot that had his 4 wisdom teeth removed the day before we left, 33 year old man out of his mind on vicoden drooling blood in my then pretty much brand new truck wasn't much of a co driver. He didn't drive a single mile till the return trip.

My turn:

Ft. Benning, GA back to Chicago-13 hours
Chicago to Ft. Sill, OK and back-13 hours
Chicago to Minneapolis a few times

I prefer to drive overnight as I just put the car on cruise and listen to tunes. Majority of my trips were solo trips. If all goes according to plan, I will end up driving from Ft. Sill, OK to Ft. Benning, GA in February.

I'll drive my Scion and have the Z06 shipped.

1200 miles in 22 hours in a 1971 VW bus fron Guaymas, Mexico to San Jose California.

830 miles in 15 hours on a Suzuki Bandit 1200 from San Jose, CA to Le Grande, OR.

I did an 8 hour trip a few times to Arizona without a single stop. One trip it never came off of cruise control the whole way. I won't get into the bathroom details lol.

830 miles on a bike is insane. I don't think I could do that.
