I saw the move last night and thought it was good, but did not live up to the hype. Anyone else see it? Set it up for a nice 3rd piece.

I saw it last night and thought it was great! Was better than I thought it would be. I want to go see it again on an Imax screen. You could definitely tell the scenes that were filmed in Imax. Great movie IMHO.

How could it live up to the hype? It would have to cure all known disease.

If Hollywood hype could be converted to energy, all Americans would be sheiks.

Yes, saw it. I see many movies. I find discussing movies on this particular forum pointless, though. When I mentioned Indy, someone complained that 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' wasn't realistic like a PBS special. Faced with such idiocy, I am not going to discuss movies on BITOG at all anymore. I may mention them, though!

As opposed to any other discussions?

Well, I don't get any satisfaction (which would be the point or goal) out of discussing movies here. However, I do enjoy upsetting *insert random name* tremendously, even if it means discussing a topic that doesn't interest me at all.

I can't find fault with that.

That movie will be dedicated to Stan Winston.

I was being sarcastic when I said "discussion." I hear mostly opinions -- especially from those who haven't even seen the movie in question.

Speaking of other mountains west of here (Cheyenne Mountain), 'Wargames' is being re-released on its 25th anniversary for one night only. Older Generation Xers have likely seen that movie in the theater, but the younger ones probably haven't. There's your chance.

I thought it was pretty well-done considering the hype. I probably won't see it again, but I'd consider watching a Dark Knight Vs. Harry Potter spin-off.

I find it amazing how the hype changes the quality of the de facto product.
