Today, after around 118K, I had the fourth puncture in the right rear tire of the HAH.
I had two in quick succession at around 30K.
I had a third in the then nearly new Michelins at around 74K, with the set mounted at around 72K.
I had the fourth today, at around 118K, or around 46K on this set of tires.
Four punctures in around six and a half years in the same position?
Crazy.

Now isn't having a spare tire sensible.

Are you listening auto makers? People still have flat tires.
Yeah, but I've had cars go through their entire lives with the spare never leaving its well in the trunk.
There may also be the factor of the typical owner being unable to change a tire,

I sometimes take the scenic route and go by the dump so I always stay in the middle of the lane on the road near it, trying to minimize the chance of punctures, as there's always stuff falling onto the road...
Otherwise on some roads, I'll hug the right side of the lane as the trucks don't make the road cracks as big where they don't usually drive, but those roads tend to be busy enough that there's rarely debris on the paved surface at all.
So maybe if you drive on the right of your lane, try to use the centre of the tire tracks more? Especially in the city near construction or demolition sites, as stuff doesn't get blown off as fast as a highway.

LOL Just yesterday my sister had a nail in the right rear tire on her camry 2nd time got a nail in that same Michelin tire. What is the odds of that?

There always seems to be more debris on the right side of the outside lane.

I've always thought that parts wear out quicker on the right side. Brakes, bearings, steering & suspension components. But that might just might be me.

Left side usually has more wear for me on parts, although right front tire on the kids CRV is taking a beating--I think they are just making hard left turns, and I haven't been keeping up on rotations. Left side gets more rust for sure. But the two cars that needed wheel bearings up front, one had both bad at the same time, the other had the other side go out 10-20k later.

I've got a 2024 Mercedes S63 e Performance. I've had 2 tire punctures on the right rear in the 5000 miles that are on the car. I also wonder if there's something to do with right rear tires.

I think the front tire will fling/lift up the nail/screw and then the rear gets it. And there is probably more debris along the shoulder.
That is exactly what happens. More debris on the right side of the road. Debris generally doesn’t puncture the tire when it is just laying there - but the front tire disturbs it, kicks it up, and on occasion, it gets caught between the rear tire and the road.
