A Dutch artist dude had a pet cat. The unfortunate cat was hit by a car and went to Kitty Heaven. The dude mourned the cat, but first put it in the freezer. Then he had a taxidermist stuff it. Later, for good measure, he turned the cat into a working helicopter (actually a "quadrocopter") because, when you think about it, EVERY cat wants to fly, right? I almost fell out of my chair when I read this...

Hmmmmm. I actually posted this yesterday, then decided to pull it because I thought it was inappropriate. It initially gave myself and coworkers a good laugh, but I recognize the controversy of showing respect to other creatures.

Reading the Youtube comments, you get the expected reactions:

1. Cat haters that see it as a fitting end.

2. Cat lovers that find it disgusting and disrespectful to the memory of their companions. This group tends to treat animals as having human traits (another controversy), OR just think it is disrespectful in general.

3. Those on the fence that feel it's a bit over the top, but what the heck, one needs to laugh at life just a bit.

I'm more in group 3, but respect the beliefs of group 2 (don't agree on the animals are humans idea).

The guy certainly gained a lot of attention for himself.
 
....and I thought they were only good for putting behind the tires so your car doesn't roll back while changing the oil....all kidding aside, I think cats are like neato mini-tigers that you can live with and they have great purpose.

That is one cool high flying cat. At least he gets to enjoy his pet in a new life.

I buried our family cat of about 17 years yesterday, so this hits close to home. She was about five weeks old when my wife found her abandoned in a parking lot.

Although I do find this kinda cool, it would be too creepy to see her staring like that. Although if one was able precisely control that contraption, some fun could be had creeping out others.

OK, this HeliCat thing has pretty much preoccupied by Beavis brain for a couple days now, and I couldn't help but think of the endless possibilities for HeliCat...

~Aerial dogfights between HeliCats.
~Airborne HeliDogs chasing HeliCats.
~Install a voice chip in the HeliCat so it goes “MEOW! MEOW!” as it flies.
~Install a voice chip in the HeliCat so it goes “BARK! BARK!” as it flies.
~Install a voice chip in the HeliCat so it yells “Wuzzzupppp?!!” as it flies.
~Put a tray in the HeliCat’s back and serve drinks to guests or customers as HeliCat hovers in front of them.
~Use airborne HeliCat to annoy your neighbor's annoying, barking dog.
~Give the HeliCat red LED "Devil Eyes" and fly it around at night like a drunken witch or somethin'.
~Place bombs on HeliCats and drop them onto unsuspecting terrorists. “Oh….look at the cute, funny flying kitty...Ha ha ha...BOOOOOM!!!!”

One could go on-and-on...

Nope, you would have to install it with a chip that makes it play this. For those who don't know, this is one of the most well known internet memes. Reason it has 76 million views.
